This study aims to analyze the role of blockchain technology in the development of financial technology (fintech) and its implications for digital society from the perspective of Islamic economics. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach through the analysis of various scientific literature, financial institution reports, and regulations related to blockchain and fintech. The findings indicate that blockchain technology has significant potential to enhance the efficiency, transparency, security, and accountability of digital financial transactions. Furthermore, blockchain can support the development of Islamic financial instruments such as sukuk, zakat, waqf, and takaful through smart contract mechanisms. However, the implementation of blockchain in Indonesia still faces several challenges, including regulatory issues, public digital literacy, cybersecurity concerns, and differing scholarly opinions regarding the use of crypto assets. This study concludes that blockchain has the potential to become a strategic technology in supporting digital economic transformation and strengthening the Islamic financial ecosystem, provided that it is supported by clear regulations and improved public literacy.
