PEER REVIEW PROCESS

All manuscripts submitted to this journal must comply with the journal’s Focus, Scope, and Author Guidelines. Submitted manuscripts should demonstrate scientific merit and novelty relevant to the journal’s focus and scope. All manuscripts must be written in proper Indonesian or English. The work must not have been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. Authors are strongly encouraged to use plagiarism detection software to check similarity prior to submission (please use Turnitin or iThenticate for similarity checking). After submission, the Editor-in-Chief will assign a Section Editor who will be responsible for overseeing the editorial process of the manuscript. At this stage, the Section Editor conducts an initial screening to determine whether the manuscript meets the journal’s minimum requirements, including relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, compliance with word count, language quality, absence of plagiarism, and consistency of formatting. If the manuscript passes this screening stage, the Section Editor assigns at least two reviewers with relevant expertise in the field. The Section Editor will also examine the manuscript’s similarity index using Turnitin or iThenticate. Manuscripts submitted to this journal will be reviewed by at least two or more expert reviewers. The reviewers provide valuable scholarly comments to improve the quality and content of the manuscript. In certain cases, if necessary, a third reviewer may be invited to provide additional critical comments on the submitted manuscript. The peer review process applied in this journal follows a Double-Blind Review system.

The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance is made entirely by the Editor-in-Chief/Regional Editor (Person in Charge) in consultation with the Section Editorial Board, based on the critical comments provided by the reviewers. The final decision on a manuscript is based on the Editor’s final evaluation, taking into consideration the peer reviewers’ comments (but not solely relying on them). The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for publishing accepted articles, including assigning them to a particular issue, by considering the order of acceptance dates, the geographical distribution of authors, and the thematic focus of each issue.
