AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Submitted manuscripts must be original and have not been published elsewhere.

Manuscripts must be written in English using Microsoft Word.

Use the TAUJIH Journal template to prepare your manuscript (Manuscript Template).

Manuscripts must be in *.doc or *.rtf format (other formats will be automatically rejected), and submitted through the journal system via online submission by creating an account in this Open Journal System (OJS) [click REGISTER if you do not already have an account, or click LOGIN if you already have an account].

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Articles submitted to TAUJIH Journal cover all research in the field of Islamic education studies. Manuscripts must be written using Times New Roman font, size 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, single column, and A4 paper size. Articles may be written in English or Indonesian using Microsoft Word in *.doc or *.rtf format.

The names of the authors (individual or team) must be written without academic titles, accompanied by the institutional address, and placed below the article title. For manuscripts written collaboratively, the editor will communicate only with the corresponding author. The email address and phone number of the corresponding author must be provided for easier communication.

Articles must be written in English or Indonesian with the following requirements:

  • Title, written briefly and effectively, using 14 pt font size, centered, and bold.
  • Abstract, written with the following subheadings:
    • Research Objectives [50–60 words]
    • Methodology [50–60 words]
    • Main Findings [50–60 words]
    • Originality/Novelty of the Research [50–60 words]
  • Keywords, consist of 3–5 quality keywords separated by commas (,). At least 2 or 3 keywords should also appear in the article title.
  • Introduction, (without subheadings) must include the phenomenon, phenomenon gap, research problem, research gap, novelty, research objectives, and research significance.
  • Methods, must clearly explain the research design, procedures/research framework, instruments, data analysis, and relevant modifications used in the study.
  • Results and Discussion, this section must be presented in the same section, where all data/results are followed by explanations or discussions. This section should explain the research findings by comparing them with relevant literature or previous studies. The position of the research should be clearly stated, whether it supports or contradicts existing literature.
  • Conclusion, must clearly summarize the research findings.
  • References, the references used must consist of recent studies from the last five years, comprising 70% journal article references and 30% books or other relevant references. Authors are required to use reference management applications such as Mendeley or Zotero. References must use Times New Roman font, size 12, single spacing, 12 pt after spacing, and hanging indentation. Citation and referencing style must follow the APA (American Psychological Association) Style.

Tables and figures presented must follow Scientific Writing Guidelines or directly imitate the formatting style of published articles.

All manuscripts are reviewed by anonymous reviewers appointed by the editors based on their research interests or areas of expertise. Authors are given the opportunity to revise the manuscript according to suggestions from reviewers or editors. Acceptance or rejection of the manuscript will be notified via email.

Publication Fees

TAUJIH Journal charges the following fees to authors:

  • Article Submission: IDR 0
  • Article Publication Fee: IDR 300,000

References

The reference list must be written completely according to the sources cited in the article and arranged alphabetically by placing the author’s last name first.

References should be grouped according to their types, such as books, journals, websites, interviews, observations, etc.
