Abstract

The inculcation of Islamic values in early childhood is an important aspect of developing religious character, as early childhood is a crucial period for shaping children's attitudes and behaviors. This study aims to describe the role of teachers in instilling Islamic values through modeling and habituation practices at PAUD Ya Bunayya. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and early childhood learners and were analyzed descriptively. The findings indicate that teachers play a significant role in instilling Islamic values through habituation activities such as greeting, reciting prayers before and after learning activities, and practicing polite behavior toward teachers and peers. The exemplary behavior demonstrated by teachers encourages children to imitate religious conduct in their daily lives. However, the implementation of Islamic values education still faces challenges, including external environmental influences and differences in family habituation patterns. This study concludes that consistent modeling and habituation are effective strategies for developing religious character in early childhood. The contribution of this study is to provide empirical evidence regarding the importance of collaboration between teachers and parents in optimizing the inculcation of Islamic values in early childhood education.

Penanaman nilai-nilai keislaman pada anak usia dini merupakan aspek penting dalam pembentukan karakter religius karena masa usia dini merupakan periode yang sangat menentukan perkembangan sikap dan perilaku anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai keislaman melalui keteladanan dan pembiasaan pada anak usia dini di PAUD Ya Bunayya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru dan anak usia dini, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru berperan penting dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai keislaman melalui pembiasaan mengucapkan salam, membaca doa sebelum dan sesudah belajar, serta membiasakan sikap sopan santun kepada guru dan teman. Keteladanan yang diberikan guru mendorong anak untuk meniru perilaku religius dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, pelaksanaan penanaman nilai-nilai keislaman masih menghadapi kendala berupa pengaruh lingkungan luar sekolah dan perbedaan pola pembiasaan di rumah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keteladanan dan pembiasaan yang dilakukan secara konsisten menjadi strategi efektif dalam membentuk karakter religius anak usia dini. Kontribusi penelitian ini adalah memberikan gambaran empiris mengenai pentingnya sinergi antara guru dan orang tua dalam mengoptimalkan penanaman nilai-nilai keislaman pada anak usia dini.
